Please join the Gaia Grrrls on First Friday, August 6, in City Plaza Gallery, between 6 and 9 PM, as we come together to shine the light of hope and healing on our wounded home, Mother Earth. As the environmental disaster continues to unfold in the Gulf of Mexico, and as our own community faces the potential invasion of toxic natural gas drilling, we invite you to join in solidarity as we offer our intentions for the repair of the world. Your symbolic gesture of lighting a candle of hope will add to the imagined net of light being created by people around the globe who are raising one voice to say: "Enough is enough. This devastation must stop. We must each pledge to live more sustainably so that all beings will have a future with the natural resources of the earth."
The Gaia Grrrls are an ad hoc group of activist women artists from Binghamton, NY. Find us on Facebook!
