City Council
The City Council is the Legislative Branch of City government. It is made up of seven members, each elected to represent a district.

Business Meetings
The Council holds business meetings the first and third Monday of each month. If the session coincides with a national holiday, the Council convenes on Tuesday instead. During business meetings, the Council votes on items such as budgetary transfers and Resolutions, Ordinances, and Local Laws for the City of Binghamton. These meetings are open to the public, and early in the agenda, members of the public are allowed to address the Council for up to five minutes. Business Meetings are always held at 6:30pm in the Binghamton City Council Chamber of City Hall, located at 38 Hawley Street.
The Council Meeting Agenda is available on the Friday before the meeting at 5:00pm in two places. You may pick up a copy of the agenda in the City Clerk’s Office. A printable PDF version of the agenda is also available in the "documents" section below.

Work Sessions
