  • Greater Binghamton Airport

    The Greater Binghamton Airport offers regional flights to and from the nation's largest hubs, including Washington/Dulles, Philadelphia and Detroit. Several airlines operate out of the airport, which is just a 25 minute drive from downtown Binghamton.   • Shard of Glass Studios

    Shard of Glass Studios is a professional mosaic studio and gallery space, as well as a First Friday venue. Karen Stanley offers a variety of hand-made pieces ranging from elegant mosaic jewelry to contemporary fine art mosaics to whimsical mosaic mirrors and other accents for the home. Shard of Glass Studios also provides a range of classes for virtually any age.


  • The Connelly Gallery

Dance Companies / Ballets

  • Galumpha

    The show is a cutting-edge theatrical presentation replete with dance, comedy, audience participation, and food.  At its core, the work is three bodies intertwining and melding together like sculpture in motion.  The three artists use their bodies and an odd assortment of props and costumes - cutting boards, popcorn poppers, vegetables, flashlights, etc. - to create a sinewy blend of dance, wit, and muscle.


  • Rafael Grigorian Ballet Theatre

    The Rafael Grigorian Ballet Theatre is a Binghamton/Elmira based non-profit organization dedicated to bringing quality classical ballet and magical entertainment to the Southern Tier of New York.

  • Binghamton River Trails Events

    What started as a simple resident-led initiative last year as the River Crawl has now expanded to a diverse and full-blown River Trails Summer Program. Come down and enjoy the scenic beauty, be healthful, meet a few new friends, and learn about our wonderful natural assets and waterfront activity.   • Downtown Binghamton Farmers' Market

    The Binghamton Farmers Market returns this year with more vendors, more products, music and events, at midday every Tuesday and Friday.  So steal away to the market on Collier Street, next to the Court House green.


  • First Fridays

    First Fridays, 6:00 to 9:00pm. First Friday Art Walk, presented by Gorgeous Washington Street Association, features a myriad of 35-45 art venues which vary each month. This is the Gorgeous place to be where you can enjoy art openings, gallery hopping, music, dance, theater, fine dining, entertainment and more. Most venues and activities are located downtown Binghamton.

  • The Broome County Library

    Events are frequently held at the Broome County Library, located at 185 Court St. in downtown Binghamton.


Museums

  • Hanford Mills Museum

    Explore America's industrial past.  Situated in the northern Catskills, Hanford Mills Museum is a working saw and grist mill powered by a Fitz overshot waterwheel.  The Museum also features tours of the John Hanford Farmstead and a gasoline powered engine and dynamo.  Explore the mill at your leisure or take a guided tour.  Walk the nature trail, and view changing exhibits of local and regional history in the exhibit gallery.  Overlooking the mill pond is a beautiful picnic area.  For your convenience the Museum operates a snack shop and museum store.  The Museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm,  May 1 - October 31.  An admission fee is charged.


  • Kopernik Space Education Center

    The Kopernik Observatory, perched atop a 1750 foot hill in Vestal, 10 miles Southwest of Binghamton, NY, has been the best-sited and best equipped public observatory in the Northeast United States for over 20 years.  The new Kopernik Space Education Center is New York State's first science laboratory facility designed for K-12 teachers, students and their families.


  • North East Classic Car Museum

  • Phelps Mansion Museum

  • Roberson Museum and Science Center

    Features the traditional arts and culture of the various ethnic groups that are a part of our community.  Includes video and participatory activities.  Exhibitions, explorations and many more.


  • The Bundy Art Museum

    The late-Victorian home of Harlow E. Bundy, founder of the Bundy Manufacturing Co. (which would eventually become IBM), offers tours of the house, three art galleries, special events and programs. 


  • The Discovery Center

    The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier is a hands on, interactive museum for children and their families.  Shop in the Littlest Giant Market, become a pilot and fly a plane or just control the traffic from our very own air traffic control tower.  The lifesize fire truck is available to explore along with the full dress uniform of a busy and dedicated fire fighting professional.


Orchestras / Concert Halls

  • Anderson Center for the Arts

    Presents performances, conferences, and meetings for the University and the Southern Tier of New York State.  Both the university students and professional artists can be watched on stage.


  • Binghamton Community Orchestra

    The Binghamton Community Orchestra is a local not-for-profit, non-professional symphony orchestra. The BCO performs at least three major concerts each season, and engages in "run out" concerts to areas around the Southern Tier so that communities without a local local orchestra have an opportunity to hear and see live orchestral music.


  • Binghamton Philharmonic

    A kaleidoscope season of perfectly blended music.  Performing both classical and pop concerts during the year with many local and foreign guest artists.


  • Binghamton University Orchestra

    With its 80 members, activities include not only its annual concert for Chorus and Orchestra but also original Children's concerts, Multicultural Holiday programs, a concert of Student Concerto Competition winners and Student Conductors' concerts.  Selected members form the University Chamber Orchestra and appear on the Department of Music's Chamber Hall Series with distinguished music faculty and guest artists. In recent years the Orchestra has become a featured performer at each of Binghamton University's innovative International Cultural Festivals, in which they have appeared in celebrations of the music of Northern Ireland (1992), Scotland (1996) and Greece (1999) with leading composers and performers from those countries.


  • Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena

    The Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena opened in 1973, provides diversified entertainment for over half a million people each year. Located in downtown Binghamton off State Street, the arena is the home ice for the Binghamton Senators, and hosts the Disney on Ice, concerts, trade shows, and many other professional, scholastic and amateur sporting events. Seating capacity is 7,200.


  • The Forum

    Home to the Binghamton Philharmonic, the Tri-Cities Opera, the Broadway Theater League, and various dance groups.  A restored vaudeville house, the Forum enables our community performing arts groups to present various programs in an elegant theatrical setting.  The theatre organ at the Forum is one of the few of its kind in existence.  Seating capacity: 1,519.


  • Tri-Cities Opera

    Enjoy world class singing, sets and staging right here in Binghamton as nationally renowned artists perform opera favorites at the Forum Theater.


Sports

  • Binghamton Mets

    Enjoy professional baseball at the NYSEG Stadium, home of our Eastern League AA affiliate of the New York Mets.


  • Binghamton Senators

    The Senators are an American Hockey League affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.


  • Southern Tier Spitfire

    The Southern Tier Spitfire plays in the semi-professional Women's Football Alliance, with their home games at Alumni Field.


Theaters

  • Binghamton University Theater

    Binghamton University students from all grades and all departments are performing during the year in Chamber Hall of the Binghamton University.


  • Cider Mill Playhouse

    The Cider Mill Playhouse, located in Endicott, New York, is a year-round professional non-profit theatre serving the Southern Tier region of New York state. In addition to presenting six fully mounted productions a year, including comedies, classics, and musicals, The Cider Mill Playhouse also offers a “second stage” season consisting of more unconventional works and original premieres, as well as summer theatre workshops and classes.


  • KNOW Theatre

    Founded by actors whose common goal is to provide theatrical performances of quality and substance.  Through our dedication to this goal we produce plays that range from drama to comedy, from farce to fantasy, classic to contemporary and everything in-between.  Using known and unknown playwrights we attempt to shed light on less common works, which would not be seen if not for our existence.  Our hope is to present our audience with provocative, moving and above all, entertaining theatre.
